Continuing Education with Christopher Kelly

I went to an up-do class taught today by Christopher Kelly a top platform and print ad stylist. He introduced us to the latest 2013 up-do trends. I Learned that hair is the finest fabric, finer than cashmere or silk. Each head of hair has to be treated according to it’s individual texture. Hair must be prepped properly before treatment to achieve the best results. We worked with different tools to achieve interesting looks. A tredy finger wave style can be achieved by manipulating the hair with a flat iron. You can even iron braided hair to achieve a fun zig zag wave. I was also inspired to add things to the hair that wouldn’t be classified as “normal”. Ribbon added to a braid can give it a corset look or lace added to a style can give it elegance. Think outside the BOX, the possibilites are endless!

Class with Patrick Fitzwater

One of Redken’s top educators, Patrick Fitzwater held a semi private class at the Pleasanton design school where I was completely blown away by ground breaking science redken has to offer to their colorists’. Thanks to redken keeping me current on the latest color technology, I am able to offer only the best for my clients!

Redken Symposium

In January, Rob & I flew to Las Vegas for the bi-annual Redken Symposium at the Mandalay Bay Resort. “Redken Symposium is the industry’s most inspiring, award-winning educational event attended by more than 8,000 stylists from around the world.”

We had a blast learning new techniques and products. More importantly, I learned about how to benefit my clients in a challenging economy, by creating the longest lasting hair colors/cuts and give the “biggest bang the their buck!” I also got to meet one of my hair idols David Stanko

Grand Opening Celebration

Thanks for everyone who came out! I would like to thank all my clients for all your support throughout the past couple months. Without you, I wouldn’t have been able to do this.
